Yes, you're addicted to the food they sell. I'm not being clever, or funny, it serious. Fast food places such as MickyD's, Wendys, KFC, and the rest load their food with the chemical MSG. This chemical is highly addictive and makes people obese. Now I'm not talking about the naturally occurring msg, but the chemical stew cooked up in labs.
Since its introduction into the American food supply fifty years ago, MSG has been added in larger and larger doses to the pre-packaged meals, soups, snacks and fast foods we are tempted to eat everyday. The FDA has set no limits on how much of it can be added to food. They claim it's safe to eat in any amount.
The items that didn't have MSG marked on the product label had something called ''Hydrolyzed Vegetable Protein'', which is just another name for Monosodium Glutamate.
Both the "medical research community" and "food manufacturers" have known about MSG's side effects for decades! Many more studies mentioned in John Erb's book(The Slow Poisoning of America) link MSG to Diabetes, Migraines and headaches, Autism, ADHD and even Alzheimer's.
If you are one of the few who can still believe that MSG is good for us, and you don't believe what John Erb has to say, see for yourself. Go to the National Library of Medicine, http://www.pubmed.com, type in the words "MSG Obese" and read a few of the 115 medical studies that appear.

The worst thing about trying to lose weight is we can't do it fast. It just ain't going to happen quickly. And blaming fast food and soda isn't the whole answer - you know as well as I do that some folks who consume both remain rail-thin all their lives - and we hate 'em, right? Aaargh! We have to keep track of what we eat. We can't diet all day and then eat hearty at supper. Some say count your calories while others say count your carbs. I've found that counting calories works best, because it does not matter whether you get yours from a well-balanced diet including meat and potatoes or whether you're a vegetarian - more calories than needed means weight gain. And exercise: many of us hate that: we go and friggin' ride an exercise bike fifteen minutes a day three times a week for two weeks and we don't seem to lose an ounce. Aw, shite! But the thing is, we gotta do it regularly and we gotta do it frequently. Some idiot said we could get by with walking twenty minutes a day five times a week...but that's nonsense. An hour a day, five times a week, of BRISK walking will start to show results in about a month. Yeah, a month. We're talking permanent lifestyle changes here - permanent! There really is no other way - even bariatric surgery is not a guarantee we won't gain the weight back. Bottom line: you will not be able to look a lot different by this July. But you will, if you really make those lifestyle changes, be well on your way to that worthwhile goal by July 2013.

I can relate to your problem, but don't worry there is thousands of people in the world that have fast food everyday. You should start taking more time out of your day to make a decent meal. If you think that you can't go two days without fast food try ordering healthier choices on the menu. For example at McDonald's a grilled chicken salad instead of a burger. Even at Subway just get a 6 inch hoagie with a soda instead of a foot long with a bag of chips.

Are you just too busy to cook? Or do you not know how to cook? Are you going to the same fast food place? I remember hearing that Mac D's had a little sugar or something in the meat or buns and that's what made them addicting. You know, you eat sugar and then you crave it. You just need to replace your habit with a new one. They say it will take about 3 weeks to break an old habit. Fast food is usually VERY fattening.

I don't think that anything is wrong with you. I don't think fast food is good for you though. Many big food companies- esp fast food, use the lowest quality food, then flavor it and use chemicals in it to confuse your body into thinking that it's good. they want you to be addicted to their foods so that they have a steady costumer. I stay away from fastfoods personally, cuz i don't like being controlled in that way. It might be hard at first, but I think you'd do well to cut it out of your diet. have you watched supersize me? There's alot of info out there about the poisons they put in fast food.
apart from that, you're perfectly normal, your body is simply reacting to the chemicals and flavors that they use. Good luck!

From the statistics, and judging by how much money the fast food industry makes I would say yes.
Its very bad for you though. Watch "Super-Size Me" rent that movie at the Video Store. That will turn you off...once and for all.

Yes, to both questions. You're addicted to fast food. The cure is to make your own food at home from scratch, as much as possible. Six months away from fast food and you won't crave it anymore. I pormise.

I think this is normal with the average American out there. You see, most of us Americans today are way too busy to make a good decent home made meal since, you know, we don't have the time to make anything at home, and most of the time, we usually have to go grocery shopping, and that is a big hassle. Since we don't have the time to make anything, we end up going to McDonald's, Hardee's or wherever since the food is already done and we could have it right there at the spot.

places mcdonalds are addictive. Have you watched Super size me? Watch that movie hopefully that will help you break your fast food addiction. If you feel ya gotta have a burger and fries make it yourself. Its 10x more healthier at home than those places.

You have bad eating habits, probably combined with a complicated schedule that makes you eat out a lot. You could prepare healthy meals and snacks in advance to take along with you.
You are putting your health at risk by this behaviour.
