Thanks for all the responses, I'd feel silly recording myself sleeping, but as I have two aunts and a few cousins w/sleep apnea, I wonder if its genetic.

Do you feel tired all the time like you're not getting enough sleep? Do you find yourself waking up a lot thru the night?

It matters because snoring can be an indicator of a more serious problem. It's not just something that can affect those around you; snoring can mean the person has sleep apnea.

The only thing I can think of to find out if you snore (and you sleep alone) is to set out some kind of tape recorder, or something that will continously record for several hours. Otherwise, you would need to see a doctor and go for a sleep study.

You could get a tape recorder and put in on record while you sleep.

What does it matter? No way that I know of to tell if you are snoring.
