yes, but whats funny is when they have them completely wrapped around there arm, like a tribal band. the reason for that is real tribal tats dont do that because it cuts off the flow of your spirit to that part of the body. only one id ever want to get is a Polynesian death tat. you have to bring the tattooer a human head proving youve killed some one.

It depends on if it has a meaning. I have two tribal tattoos. Then again, I also have tribal heritage. Cherokee heritage can be traced back through my father's bloodline, and one of my great grandmothers from my mother's side of the family was a full blooded Choctaw Indian.

i have a tribal sun with a scorpion inside, done on my right ankle. i got it 6 years ago, and i still love it. it doesn't mean i'm going to go and cover my body with tribal stuff, but i don't regret it. it was during a period of time when tribal was "in", and i liked it. tattoos are used to show different parts of our lives.

my artist refuses to give tribal. he WILL not do it. the only time i feel it is acceptable to get a tribal tattoo is when the person has an ancestry that has a tradition in tribal tattoos. then that is paying tribute to where you came from and atleast you have some kind of link.

I don't either... I guess its whatever someone likes, and if thats what they like then thats great... but if its just a fashion statement then NO!! They come and go every minute of every day! Tats don't!!!!
