I like mint green. As an interior architect, I used green a lot because green is the easiest color on the eyes. The background on my screen is green. However, there is a lot of research that newborn babies see black and white first, then vivid colors. My best advice as an interior architect is dont get too hung up on a nursery because before you know it, the kid is a toddler and you're doing the room over. Paint it white and add a colorful wallpaper border. But dont put it at the top of the wall. Put it the height of the top of the crib so the baby can see it. Then when you want to redo the room, it's easy to just rip down the border and change it. Pax - C.

It should be YOUR favorite color. Babies respond to the calm and beautiful spirit of their parent more than they do a color. If you enjoy the color, then the baby will be happy with the room, too. This is a magical time, choose your favorite magical color.

Go into the room, sit down and meditate. Imagine a nursery with you and your baby feeling happy, safe and secure. Look around the room in your mind, notice details. It will tell you the colour it needs to be, both for your baby and for the room. I realize this sounds very "new-age" - but it truly does work. And don't worry about "boy/girl" colours, or what makes them supposedly smarter or calmer.

Show the baby different colors and find the one that makes the baby the happiest. Don't use yellow if you want the baby to ever sleep. Yellow is too stimulating. In contrast, blue is calming and restful. Pink is peaceful and calming also.

Your bedding sounds very lovable! do no longer make it fade away through portray the walls a similar colour; imagine assessment. i believe a dwindled, lemony yellow might want to be beautiful. it is going to extremely set off off each and each and every of the shades on your linens. in simple terms ignore with regard to the pink on condition that thats basically an accessory and may basically be repeated in small doses around the room. you're accurate now to not do crimson walls. you'd be bombarded through crimson in each and every style and trend for the subsequent 6-7 years without including to the problem. and that i respect white curtains! a lot less complicated to keep clean than white walls and are classic & calm.

well, it depends on the gender of the baby. A pastel color would be best; it soothes the baby more than a bright color.

Keep it simple and calm. Any color you feel comfortable with is good, just don't mix and match untill it looks like a quilt.
Pick white and one aditional color. Pastels are always in fashion when it comes to babies.

I'd pick one of these.
