and organically speaking it is an exelent plant to recuporate tired soils ,after cattle and corn field have practically destroyed the land, because the plant is deep rooted grows on most altitudes, and breaks open or loosens compacted soils as well as secreting nitrogen.

I would have to disagree with Crabby B. Industrial Hemp is not illegal to use or possess in the United States. It is only illegal to grow it in the US. Most industrial countries grow hemp and export it to the states. I grow hemp in Australia.
Industrial Hemp is indeed a "green" material. Hemp produces the most biomass for the least amount of water in the least amount of time. No pesticides are required to grow hemp and only limited amounts of fertilizer. The long (up to 6 foot) tap root of the plant helps aerate the soil. The leaves of the hemp plant fall back to the earth before the harvest (hemp fibre is just the stalks) and this serves as a natural compost which returns nutrients to the soil. Compared to cotton or wool, the propagation of industrial hemp uses only a fraction of the water, none of the pesticides and produces a fabric which is durable, attractive, and kills bacteria (so you can wear that hemp shirt 3 or 4 days and still pass the sniff test). I own hemp T-shirts that are 5 years old and still look as good as the day I bought them.

I basically watched the action picture Hemp Revolution. in accordance to them, it became a conspiracy with DuPont chemical substances because of the fact they have been introducing their plastic and vinyl products, and business production of hemp might have been too reliable of a contest. William Hearst, the newspaper writer, had activity in getting funds off of his wood, and hemp became additionally a reliable competitor for paper. So Hearst began coming up propaganda against Marijuana. Then the Marihuana Tax Act of 1937 became surpassed, some believe to furnish the federal brokers a job after Prohibition became lifted. initially, marijuana became no longer outlawed, basically heavily taxed, putting the competition out of corporation. The congressmen did no longer understand that hemp and marijuana have been the comparable factor, so the tale is going. Hemp has been written out of historic previous as between the significant funds plant life of the U.S. the reason it continues to be outlawed is basically lack of know-how, plus the phobia that being stoned could be the downfall of our society, in spite of the certainty that THC could be eradicated from business hemp.

Logically yes--and was used for a wide variety of purposes through the 1800s.
However--whileyour purpose is entirely legitimate, I'd suggest caution. "Hemp" is also considered a drug under U.S. law. I'd make sure any teachers understand what you're doing BEFORE you find yourselves trying to explain your point to some idiot.

Yes, it is. Hemp grows quickly and because it's native, requires little care.
