i mean literaly, if i started a catholic church offshoot and only charged
8% tithing with the idea that it would draw more worshipers to my parish, would that be ok with god.

or could we have like new member deals, like tithing same as cash for the first 90 days.

or begin to accept credit and gift cards, you know just swipe it at the door?

i think that food stamps would be taking it a little far. poor people should have to go buy the food first and then bring it to us, that way we (the church) cannot get in trouble for accepting food stamps.

You can't discount religion - due to a distributor's deal, we're required to charge a fixed price for it. However, the price can be dropped in exchange for a slightly more watered-down product. For instance, there's the Christianity-Saver plan, which requires less in monthly tithes, but the miracles tend to be more limited (and usually St. Peter executes them, as opposed to the more prominent figures like Jesus or God.)

Furthermore, in this Saver plan, God doesn't manifest himself as a burning bush or other awe-inspiring forces of nature. A cardboard cutout of God is all that this particular religion can afford, due to financial constraints.

HI THERE FOOD STAMPS IS WHAT IT IS FOR FOOD NOT IN RELIGION , THE WORSHIPERS OR followers of god have no price tag the price is your soul where will it go at the end of your death no one knows till the day of judge ment. Already churches ask for money they pass the baskets other religion take 10% of your income but it's all in cash. their is a so call pastor shameful to say his Puerto rican that has taken people for fools he takes from money to their house etc... whatever they give him thinking he has been sent by GOD and telling them that the 666 is the mark of GOD and all his followers get a tattoo with the 666 . This is another way to seal and fool god's children. The house of the lord god is not for gambling .

It's obvious you're just being stupid. A church can't CHARGE tithing. Tithing is giving out of the goodness of your heart because God asked you too. If you go to church and don't give anything they can't stop you from coming. If you CHARGE then you won't be recongnized by the government and given all of the tax breaks.

The Catholic Church does not require anyone one to tithe. One if able to give is to give from the heart and not necessarily money. It could be your time. Only protestant churches require tithing, not the RCC

I have to admit the credit card idea kinda rocks. I mean, it should be at least as easy to tithe as to pay for a Big Mac, don't you think? Or they could put the sacramental wine in a big fountain and people could throw coins in...

Interesting. Although, I've never been to a church that charged admision at the door, I'm sure that you'd make a fine profit. But the real money is in faith healing and prayer cloths.

You can occasionally get slightly dented or irregular religions at Big Lots for a pretty good price. I picked up a six pack of Pelagianism and a carton of Modalism last week for practically nothing.

The pope won't take kindly to you undercutting the papalcy. They have swiss gaurds and an underground spy network. This is old money you do not want to mess with.

You could get an Airmiles plan.
Those plans seem to bring in the customers.
