Recently I underwent a heart surgery and now I am taking pills that reduce my blood pressure. I need to take these pills in different dosage depending on where my blood pressure is. What is a quality brand and where can I purchase this blood pressure measurement device? Thanks.

Consumers Reports recommended an Omron blood pressure device which I bought about 4 years ago. I love it .It works well & is a snap to use. I haven't even changed the batteries yet. I would buy it in the pharmacy section of Walmart, or at any drugstore including CVS on line. Walmarts, if you can find it there, is probably the cheapest.

Doctor prefer to have mercury manometer for accurate reading ! Again that also must be without zero error !If there is a less mercury in the glass colum than you make repair it adding mercury in that and can make without zero error !It is better to take BP while lying down rather than sitting and or standing posture ! ! Best on left arm !Why and what for is a another question !!All electronic BP Instrument or dial type will carry some or other errors but for practical purpose it will surely work !!if satisfeid plz give me best answer mark!always YouRsmE

Omron is a very good brand. The best price will be at Wal-Mart or Sam's Club. To get the most accurate readings, you should buy a blood pressure monitor that goes around the arm. Finger and wrist monitors don't give very accurate readings.
