my mom makes 45k a year in ohio, is that bad?

That is pretty decent for Ohio. The national average is around $45-$50K, so she is right in line. Why are you worried about your mom's finances anyway???

The salary depends on your Mom's qualifications and years of experience - Median expected Salary range in Ohio Attorney $85K/yr - Admin assistant $34K/yr - these statistics suggest that $45K/yr is noy very, very bad.

It's probably pretty good in Circleville. Not so much so in Cleveland or Cincinnati.
