I started having doubts about the religion I was raised in as a teenager. I decided to ask God himself and I prayed about it. I decided if it was wrong or if I didn't get an answer that I wouldn't follow it. I found what I thought was an answer at that time and I stuck with it for years. When I reached 30 my doubts resurfaced. I began studying different religions, mostly non Christian, and tried to adopt my own version as a mix and match of both Christian and non Christian. Paganism, Buddhism, Jewdism, LDS doctrin. I've designed my own. Many branches of Christianity started in ways similar to this. Placing more or less weight on the scripltures of their choosing.

I knew from childhood that I didn't fit into the Christian religion. It didn't feel right. Though I believed in a God and I felt that somehow a female deity was missing, none of the rest of it felt true. Time goes on and I wonder if I would have to settle on a religion. One day my sister and I started talking about Wicca and that was it. I knew that it was what I believed.
Now as time has gone further I realized that I didn't like being inside a box and that religion just didn't suit me. I'm a very spiritual person and realized that I didn't need a religion to be spiritual.

I tell you some mormons came to the door and there was a telescope in the window, so i was like nah man i'm atheist. I was like 13, i was never into religion before that i just counted the buttons on my coat in church but that was the first time i said, i'm atheist leave me alone. It just kinda stuck.
I've read some mythology, looked at world religions, never with much interest. Toyed with some kooky animist superstitions, mostly just for giggles, thought god was tapping me on the shoulder the other day but realized it was just an epiphany or piece of a mystery puzzle.
I'll sometimes say i like aphrodite or bachus just cause they represent me but it's a joke.
I've played with tarot and lucid dreaming. I see worth in them but not magic. I see morals and lessons in many of the religious works.

I'm a Catholic convert who joined the Church because I love the Mass and the Eucharist. I also love the stability of the liturgy and the peacefulness of the Rosary meditations, which help to bring me closer to Christ.
All in all, Catholicism fits my spiritual needs better than any other religion does.

Islam answered all my questions. I wasnt shamed because I didnt have faith in faith. In islam 1+1+1=3. The quran has never been corrupted or tainted and Allah promised to protect it which he has. The bible is just too corrupted to beleive any part of it. Islam is more tolerant of others belief than what christianity is. I love being a muslim.

I believe that religion is man made. Jesus Christ is who I have chosen. Jesus is a personal relationship. He is God's way of reaching down to man with love, grace and forgiveness.

I'm Spiritual . . . of no religion or temple.
And...I don't feel that I chose this sense of being Spiritual. I feel that being of soul of spirit is a natural way to be.
I am a ' child ' of universe...not of man. Universe...God...the One is of no ' religion '. This beingness, this soulfulness existed before the teachings and blessings of our precious Jesus Christ, before Moses, before the Torah, Bible, Koran etc. was written. Soul simply is. The One simply Is.
As close as I could feel to be of that is to be of soul...hence...Spiritual.
