If you try to do something at a faster pace, say like emptying money out of a cash register and putting it into a bag, will it take you longer if you rush?

Haste makes waste means that if you rush, then you will not do the job correctly, therefore making something useless or inadequate. So I don't really think that is a relevant example.

my mom in law says that all the time. i really am offended by such a remark from anyone especially her. i think it is wise to be even paced when doing something whatever it may be.
