how many cups of water are in a standard bottle of water?

you're supposed to drink at least 8 cups of water each day. but my question is how many cups are in a 16 fl oz water bottle? the standard size.

8 fl. oz = 1 cup. So a 16 fl. oz bottle has 2 cups of water in it, you would need to drink 4 of those to get your "8 glasses a day". Personally, I find it too much. I've tried that before and man.. I was peeing like a pregnant woman!

This makes much more sense. Each of us has a different consitution and we should not all follow the same rule but do what works for us.

8 Ounces is what the standard glass tumbler is considered to be. Therefore your sixteen ounce bottle has two glasses in it. And by the way the recommendation is the fluid equivalent of eight glasses of water. A lot of that is in the vegetables you eat. Also tea, coffee, etc figures in to it. You really don't have to gulp down eight glasses of water everyday.
