What type of paint brushes, work best with acrylic paints?

Always use fine-haired, natural hair brushes when doing detailed work with acrylic paint. Natural hair brushes include hog, badger, horse, goat, human and sable, etc. The brush handle should have stamped on it which type of natural hair it is made out of.

The problem with using synthetic brushes in detailed work is that the synthetic bristles tend to streak the paint. They are cheaper than natural hair brushes but I won't use them.

A tip: Fine water color brushes also make fine acrylic paint brushes.

For large areas or with large purely abstract paintings it really doesn't make much difference which large brush you use.

When i was in school and since than I found that synthetic brushes work the best with acrylic paint, because the natural bristle is too delicate to use with acrylics.
I use synthetic brushes with oils and acrylic paininting alike, They are more forgiving and less expensive. They do a very good job. The brand I use is Robert Simmons. It is as good as most natural brushes and not as expensive.
