It's a plead to God to guide us in this life is such a way that we may see past all the wants and fears of this life and look forward to Heaven when death takes us from this world to the next. Beyond the veil of darkness that divides this life from the next life.

We are the sheep and God is the good Shepherd. He directs us when we have fears, wants, etc until the day of our death. Don't know if you know much about sheep, but they are pretty helpless without a Shepherd to guide them. Sheep have the mentality of children, and we are God's children. :o)

I want to be Guided by God, more than anything, I want, even beyond my fears, that I may have in my life until my death.
Peace, Love and Blessings to you as well.
Thank you. Have a Blessed Evening.

It is a prayer.
It is said by a person expressing/self affirming a wish to find guidence from the scriptures.
**"Beyond my wants" Means to give up chasing the aquirement of material possessions or sensual gratification for one's selfish enjoyment. The inference is that a person praying in this manner is seeking instead to cultivate devotion in order to serve Gods desires for us through penance.
**"Beyond my fears" Means to find a way to overcome insecurity caused by identifying ones self as one's temporary body. Everybody fears death, which occurs to the material body only. One can overcome the fear of death when one realizes the immortal nature of the soul.
**"From life into death" Here the pray'er is affirming their intention to find liberation/salvation from their selfish life which revolves around forfillment of self ego (such a life devoted to a false sense of self leads to death, when the body dies).
This prayer concerns the desire to cultivate one's personal devotion to God through penance mentioned within the scriptures.

You see, a sheep is an object of property,
not a wild animal. So Jesus is my owner.
[ for ] He bought me with a great price.
He died on the cross for me,
shed his blood, and, he rose from the dead,
and got the victory over death,
hell and the grave.
For me. O how he cares for me,
watches over me, and preserves me.
You see the words are in the present tense.
Whatever be the believers position,
he and she are even right this very moment
under the pastoral care of the Living God.

To me, it is asking God to lead me. To be as a shepherd is to a lamb, instead of me leading, instead of my fears ruling my life and to take me from being lost into life with Him.
