You are looking for a God who will scoop you up whenever you are drowning. God gave you the water, He also gave you the ability to swim. You swam against the current and you want God to bring you to where you want go easily. If you didn't make it you blame someone for your own stupidity.
What you will never know is that His power had already been given to you. You have.the power the avoid problems because you are created for that. You gave up so easily because you thought God should do it for you. It is not that He has no power to stop it. Since it is human who created the problem, man must seek the for way to solve it on his own. If He sees the things being done in the righteous ways That is the time He will come to give His Blessings. As long as man does things in a wicked way, only His curse will let bad things to happen to man.

God is all powerful, but because there is SIN in this world, Satan is the master of this world "temporarily", bad things are allowed to happen. God is in control. He sent his Son Jesus to die on the Cross and be raised from the dead so that sinners could be saved. We are all sinners - Romans 3:23, and the wages of sin is death (eternal separation from God) Romans 6:23. But God's gift is eternal life if we are willing to accept it. Romans 10:9 & 10. So, yes bad things are allowed to happen - but God does not tolerate sin, and when He comes back Satan will no longer be the "prince of the earth." Read Romans and John and Phillipians and you might find some insight there.

God can not help but let bad things happen if they have for them salvation as an end. Do you know what this means? It means that that horrible thing that happened to you would not otherwise be allowed to have happened if it hadn't lead to your struggling to come to terms with it, seeking out God and eventually making you the better person for it, a more knowing and wiser person because of it. This is true of any experience no matter how painful.

God does not allow bad things to happen because He does not care. Nor does he prevent evil because He felt like He had to.
God in omniknowledge. He is all powerful. God is God.
God allows some evil to take place to allow his power to be made known. As in the case of His friend Lazarus, He knew about his illness and death, yet He permited Lazarus to die so that in his death God would be glorified. Christ raised Lazaus from the dead and in this God's power was made known.
It is not for mortals to question God, nor is it mans place to mock or belittle God. Those who do this tread on dangerous ground. I am troubled by you even asking this question.
If you are having a bad experience and encouragement please listen to the song by Third Day entilted Tunnel.

If you believe God even exsits and has a plan for all of us, then no he will not put his hand in the way for something not to happen. He knows that for us to grow, like parents know how their kids have to grow is by doing things, were the parent doesn't step in and say "STOP." or "Think about it." He, like parents trusts us so much that most of the time, he will not let anyone say anything, because we will grow from that experience, though when he does say stop, thoughs are the times we don't even know he is doing it.

God lets these things happen because he gave us free will.If we had no free will we would just be robots to him.But no God gave us free will so we would truly love him because it was our choice. Then we would be no robots. He even knew that people would leave him but he still let it happen. He only want true love from us.You know no love till you know the love of Christ. He created this world for us..he didn't make are problems we make are own with our choices.I hope people understand God is not a harsh God or a hating God he is the loving God.Say what you want about my words...but I will take them for God is a amazing, loving, always there when you don't know it God.I hope this helps...

All of those bad things that happen......well, when you kick God out of the schools and out of the courts as well as your lives what do you expect? God will honor your request for him to leave you alone. When the bad things happen to you,its the Devil doing them, then in your human nature you curse God, exactly what the devil wanted you to do. each time you curse God you move away from him. He does not leave us we leave him.

Removing all evil would require removing free will from mankind. Removing free will would remove man's capacity to love. And a world in which there is love (even with the possibility that there will also be hate), is greater than a world without love.
