I always want food and it shows. I'm about 15 lbs. overweight and I want some tips on how to stay away from food. When I get home from school is when I eat most. I can never just have a little 100 calorie pack of food. I always add more food with that. I want to know how I can avoid doing that. How do I eat less?

drink a bottle of water before you eat anything. it'll fill you up so you eat less, and it's very healthy!

I agree with all the previous answers. I would add brush your teeth when you want any food that is not healthy. It makes you not want to eat.

Go to you library and get a "body type diet" book.

Sometimes cravings mean we need a type of nutrient (you don't get it eating the junk food you are craving though). Dr. Abramavel's book talks a great deal about this.

I have just started reading it.

And don't keep junk food in the house. If you are a kid, ask your parents if they can stop buying it or lock it away from you or put it somewhere you can't go (like in their room).

And keep healthy pre made "snacks", like peanut butter and celery or carrot sticks on hand for when you get off from school.

More water.... smaller portions. Eat more fruit. Apples are great in the morning to get your metabolism going for the day. It's much better than coffee or sugary breakfast foods.

How old are you and what is your height/weight? I doubt you're 15 pounds overweight. You should speak to your doctor. Also, if you're not eating enough for breakfast and lunch, your blood sugar will drop, and you'll be ravenous by late afternoon.

omg i have the same problem!!!
but i would probably sujest to take all the junk food out of ur fridge, or have some one hide it from u so u cant get the food

drink more water and if you have school, you should have 2 granola bars along if you want a mid morning snack and for lunch

instead of eating go jog for 15 minutes or play a sport............but jogging is the best and after jogging u can still eat as you usually eat
