Not literally. It's a poetic image used to describe the human being's need for God. That, I believe, is real.

Yes. It looks a little like this. ♂ Its not real its metephoricle. We just use that symbol cuz it has a hole and an arrow pointing up to Heaven. People need to accept God and the Lord our Saviour Jesus in order to get up to Heaven. If people are very bad they go to Hell but if they arent too bad I think God can let them back as humans to try again to beleive. I think this happens for eternity and after until every body gets it right.

There was a huge party in Valhalla. All the great heroes were there and many beautiful young women to entertain them.
After days of partying the land was littered with passed out revelers. The God Thor looked out at the sea of unconscious people.
At first he thought he was the only one of all the gods and maidens still standing. Then he spied one lone young woman slowly threading her way around all the bodies.
Thor straightened his jerkin then casually strolled up to her. A wide smile spread across his face and he approached her with his most charming look.
“Hi, I’m Thor.”
The young woman looked him dead in the eye and lisped out, “You’re thore?! I’m tho thore I can haldly pith!!!”

Ok I've learned something new today. I didn't realize that this was the term for it. Thanks !
I don't believe that if a god created us, he'd have to go through all of that just to make us search for him.. seems like a cruel game to me. Why not just reveal yourself and let's be friends and such? Why create a vacuum in us spiritually that causes us to go looking? makes no sense to me.

I don't know those Christians are always talking about Jesus filling their "God-shaped hole" and talking about his second coming.

My ex-wife used to get angry whenever I said she had one. Then she agreed one day but told me I was no longer the only God.

It's figurative. And it stretches out for all eternity if it isn't filled.

No. That is why people happily go straight to hell not believing they need Christ.
No, if you have a hunger for God it has been given to you by God himself.
NO ONE can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again (John 3:3)
(If you see the kingdom, you are born again)
NO ONE can come to me unless the Father Who sent me draws him (John 6:44).
(If you have come to Jesus it is because you have been drawn by the Father..it is by Grace you have been saved...and this salvation is not because of you. You didn't make the right choice...the Father revealed himself to you and you said, "Yes!" God was the one that moved to help you to understand. Without God unstopping your ears, you would still be lost.)
NO ONE comes to the Father except through me (John 14:6).
