the laws of at what age teens can get their permits and what restrictions apply to them (to and from school, only with parent, etc). How long they have to have a permit before they can get their license, if they are required to take driver's ed. Websites would be appreciated, I'm writing a 15 page research paper. My teen's friend was just killed in a car accident and had only been driving for a couple of months.

Just han---Working on a master's. I didnt know what to write about until my kiddo's friend was killed this wkend. It can be a little less than 15 if really good. My kid's friend traveling to fast on wet road and hydroplaned into oncoming traffic. His car is the size of my recliner now. He died instantly. VERY saddened by this, I loved this kid and want to do something proactive for him. I think teens are too inexperienced to be driving without an adult at 16. I would like to see the laws changed and might submit paper to state to do so. Please pray for his family.

Easiest way to get to those regulations is to visit the state's websites - they're all the same with the state abbreviation the only difference.
Here's the way they go: first, you use the hypertext transfer protocol, so you type HTTP:// then you type the word STATE and add a dot , then you type the two letter state postal code (New York is NY, Alabama is AL, Maine is ME, etc) and add a dot. Last, you type the extension US
So, New York's website is http://www.state.ny.us and Georgia's is http://www.state.ga.us and Hawaii's is http://www.state.hi.us and so on.
Once you're at the state's website, just click on Department of Motor Vehicles, and click the link for regulations.
Good luck!

In Ohio you can get your learner's permit at 15 1/2 years old. However, you cannot get your operator's license until you are 16.
When you are driving on your permit you must have a licensed driver (at least 18 years of age) in the front passenger seat in order to drive. There are no time of day or any other driving restrictions on the permit.

it type of seems such as you have at the instant been surfing to 3 of those anti-government "sovereign citizen" web content. enable me wager, you probable additionally think of all earnings taxes are unconstitutional and there's a few secret scheme to get out of paying the IRS? ok, I digress. employing is a accountability this is properly regulated in accordance with public protection, even nevertheless I could desire to confess I do see some hypocrisy in touching on employing as a "privilege". you may desire to have a license to possess a firearm and save it registered and there are various stuff which could disqualify you from possessing a gun, however the government does not communicate over with that as a privilege yet a Constitutional precise. And in maximum places interior the U.S. a motor vehicle is an absolute necessity basically to stay, exceptionally in case you reside in a rural area the place there is not any public transportation. in case you haven't any longer have been given a motor vehicle, then you definately basically don't have a role. To me, the term "privilege" means that it is a few form of luxurious which you may do without. possessing and employing a Mercedes-Benz is a privilege. employing a rusty crushed-up Honda Civic isn't. in case you reside interior the middle of a metropolitan area like long island, then in line with probability you are able to prosper and not employing a motor vehicle. everywhere else, i do no longer think of so. that's different from maximum individuals can journey a bicycle everywhere they could desire to flow, and it is unlawful those days to journey a horse on a public highway. So except the government gets off it is @ss and critically improves public transportation, then drivers (who pay maximum individuals of taxes) should not be taken care of as though they're in straightforward terms employing on the whim of the all-friggin-effective state.

Google each of the fifty states DMV's, and search their websites.
Most DMV's post that info fairly conspicuously.
If you can't find it, just call the phone number listed.
Have fun with your research.
ps: why does it have to be 15 pages? What happens if you only get 12, or if it runs to 17?
