I'm guessing it should be 4 batteries, seeing that 6 divided by 1.5 is 4, but I'm not quite sure; is it 4, more than four, or less than four?

And '' V '' stands for Volts in case you didn't know.

Do the math. 4 x 1.5 = 6 or 6 / 1.5 = 4

Well.............. first you would need to know what the 6v device is.
Because batteries are DCV (direct current voltage. incase you didn't know) and your 6V device is ACV (alternating current volts. incase you didn't know).

If your device is AC then you need a power converter which probably costs more than you are looking to spend.

But yes the answer is 4 batteries DCV.
