not arf.....the problem is the modern habit of gas;brake;gas;brake, and so on......your poor head goes back ,then forward, back ,forward and nearly snaps off into your lap..........why do they have to go so fast........in the 50s the old RTs maxed @ 35mph ...........0 to 30 eventually........no problem those days............but that is progress..........neck braces on....

A lot of different models of bus are used in London. Most of them have the heating controlled automatically by a thermostat. It cannot be controlled from the driver's cab. If the thermostat has gone wrong, there is probably something that can be done to switch the whole system off, but that counts as maintenance and is not part of the driver's job. Anyway, he can open his window.

If as you claim, that passengers should not stand up until the bus has stopped, what are the passengers supposed to do who are already standing in a bus which is packed like a sardine can?Why do bus drivers allow passengers to pile on the bus if no standing is allowed while the bus is moving.I know they are doing a difficult job in dealing with the rude public but they should do their job properly.

The law says a number of standing passengers is allowed. I say if you can not keep your footing on a moveing bus sit down or dont get on if theres no where to sit after all whats a driver to do if in an emergancy thay have to stop suddenly.

God forbid if you don't have the right bus fare and I've seen a bus driver refuse to give change of a note for bus fare! wouldn't let the person on until they got change!
