I think when people do this, they are really looking for validation in their lives. They may not like what they are eating but if it makes them feel superior to someone else that does not follow their way.
Kind of like preaching about global warming and then having a huge house and take private jets all over to " Preach" to others."do as I say, not as I do"syndrome.

People have been judging other peoples habits, including food, forever. I'd like to think I'm curious about what others eat and how they prepare some things differently than I do. Some people are too comfortable with the way they cook and eat and can't accept that other people are more adventurous. If they are in a rut eating the same old food everyday, imagine what their lives are like. Oh, the boredom!
I'm a meat eater, too but one or two days a week I make vegetarian meals, because I know it's healthier for me. And I'm more than willing to try new things.

Personally, I don't care so much what people eat, as long as they are INFORMED about what it is they're eating. Today people are being lied to and poisoned by the foods available to them. How can anyone make an informed choice without the truth?
Sugarfree foods contain either Aspartame or Splenda, both chemicals that are very dangerous. Aspartame has over 91 side effects including brain cancer and death. Splenda is closer to DDT than it is to sugar.
MSG is a chemical additive that is addictive and causes people to become obese and it's in thousands of food lines.
And I'm not talking about naturally occurring msg. Go to the National Library of Medicine, http://www.pubmed.com, type in the words "MSG Obese" and read a few of the 115 medical studies that appear.
I mean the list is endless. So, that's what I talk about. IF you know the truth about a food and choose to continue eating it, then it's on you. But to not be told the truth by those who sell it is criminal.

I don 't know why maybe they like to preach their own version of the gospel of vegan ism? Personally I think that people should eat for their health and survival otherwise they aren't doing any good for themselves.
Jesus wasn't a vegan either he ate fish. I have seen these posters claiming Jesus was a vegan. Not true at all. When people start to think for others that's when they are crossing the line. No one should tell you what to eat or make you feel bad for it either.
People should mind their own business and take care of themselves. It's not saying that you shouldn't care for others but just don't nag them to think your way is the right way. Encourage them to eat healthy and only of their choosing not what you choose for them.
My former boyfriend used to preach to me what I should and shouldn't eat. It was all fine and dandy but he never allowed me to make my own choices on my own. He used to joke about me gaining weight and even threatened to tie me to his car and make me run for it.
I mean really now. lol Ok so I thought it was funny but sometimes it's not funny when you are struggling with an issue that may even be deep rooted in emotions that need to be healed.

I dont either. I am a vegetarian and I always get ridiculed about it. The way I look at it, its my choice what I eat and other people shoulnt make fun of me for it. So I completely agree with you.

For the same reason that people focus on any other aspect of another person's life or habits. It is easier to do that than to look inward at ones self.
