I cannot think of any examples of atheists in the bible. Can you?
I think most people at that time believed in some deity or deities. It's about interactions between Religious peoples and people who have a relationship with God.

I think it's more about truth and consequences. Prophecy dictates or interprets to some that things will happen to good and bad people regardless of their faith. Common sense should tell us how to separate the things we can and cannot change. We all currently live on the same planet anyway but for some reason some people believe they will be raptured whether they really will or not. A persons character shouldn't be judged just by their religion or lack thereof. Many are self righteous and or confused anyway.I know I still am...confused.

Funny you should think so. In the times the Bible was actually written, I don't think there were such things as "atheists".
