If you do it yourself, the odds are that it will fall out. Go to a professional and not a mall stylist unless you know a good one. Find a great place with a great stylist (it's probably going to be expensive). You may not be able to make such a drastic color change. The stylist should tell you whether or not it is safe. The likelihood is that it is not. It is more likely that you will have to make a more subtle change and I wouldn't trust a stylist that told you otherwise. Good luck and be careful.

It wont so much "fall out" as it will get very thin. bleaching and dyeing = burning. Try something natural like eggs. Take a full dozen, beat it by hand with a fork and soak your head back in it for as long as you can. I've done it for an hour reading a magazine in the tub and VOILA! Perfect bleaching. Don't wash it out, just dry with a towel then blow dry on MEDIUM heat setting. You can also comb most of it out before blow dry.

You are always better off getting a professional to do it than yourself. But...I just want to add that I am a natural blonde and I love brown, red and black hair! I can't for the life of me figure out why anyone would want to bleach all the rich color out of their hair! Blonde hair is just absence of color!!! lol,I know,I'm being stupid but I just don't get it. OH! Another reason for not wanting to be blonde...we can be stupid!!! lol

Dyeing or bleaching your hair doesn't make it fall out. If you do it too often it can make it brittle so it breaks off. But it doesn't make it fall out.

it depends how many times you have dyed it and how many times you plan to dye it in the future.i personally wouldn't go with such a drastic change
