It means that just because someone in a position of authority says something, or believes something, that it is not automatically right. And you should retain your right to question what they say.

Respect given blindly , uses Not the things necessary to find truth .
Authority is then free to continue with falsehoods because you deferred without question .
It is one of those intuitive statements .

It means that if your respect for athority is done without thought... that you just have respect because you are told to...it causes the truth to be hid from you.

To respect authority without thinking about what they're telling you to do could have you believe them, whether it's true or not. Basicly you believe them no matter what.

maybe when you get so mad you react without thinking and end up causing disrespect, but you didnt mean what you said or did (which makes it the enemy of the truth)
