I KNOW HE IS STILL ACTIVE IN THE NAVY, SS#, DOB, AND FULL NAME. WHERE SHOULD I GO OR CALL?

Candi, You might want to go ask this question in the military section just this way. The way you asked over there you could be looking for a friend or ship mate so the answers you got would help more with that kind of search.

My suggestion would be for if you have proof that he's your son's father. If he's already been recognized and is on his father's paperwork than you may be able to make arrangements to be able to speak to any Navy Legal office. Or any other service's Legal or JAG office. They should at least provide some guidance.

If your son has not been recognized by his father then you'll have a harder time as that has to happen first before the military can do much to help. You'll need to find a civilian lawyer or agency that also knows how to deal with the military. You'll have to find the father and have him claim his son or push for DNA testing in a civilian court. Once you have that recognition you can find military help for your son to keep his rights as a dependent.
