All I can say is:

You might want to go to a restaurant with outdoor dining, and maybe go to the park rather than a movie.
And stay downwind.
FWIW, it is too late to do anything now, but next time you are about to eat a gassy food, take Beano with the first bite. It helps reduce the gas production.
