I like to make a crumble topping for my pumpkin and spice muffins with cutting butter into a mixture of brown sugar, cinnamon, chppoed walnuts, and just a little bit of orange juice. If you want to make it super gooey and sweet then you can also take some caramels and melt them down and drizzle them over the top or just a little powdered sugar with orange juice.

i would use cream cheese type of frosting, or maybe vanilla

Ingredients needed:

3 large egg whites
5 cups (one and one-fourth pounds) sifted confectioners' sugar
Food coloring

In the bowl of an electric mixer, beat the egg whites on low speed until just frothy, about 1 minute. Beat in one-fourth cup sugar. Add the remaining sugar and beat on high speed until the mixture holds a peak and is very thick, 5 to 10 minutes. To keep a crust from forming, cover the icing with a damp towel. If the icing needs to be thinned, add a little water. Add food coloring as desired.

Butter Cream Frosting

INGREDIENTS

1 cup unsalted butter (if using salted butter, skip the salt)
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
5 cups confectioners' sugar
1/4 cup milk

DIRECTIONS
In a large bowl, cream margarine and shortening until light and fluffy. Add salt, vanilla, confectioners' sugar and milk. Beat well.

I also agree with the folks who said cream cheese and orange! what a good idea!
