if the pretzels are completely dipped: no pretzel showing, you will not need to, just store them in a cool dry place. Even if they are not fully dipped as long as they are kept from moisture the shelf life is fairly long.

Freezing chocolate can be done if you take some simple precautions:
1) As little air in the package as possible.
2) triple wrap it in plastic or multiple thick bags, no air in or out: keeps moisture crystals from forming.
3) when thawing don't remove the plastic until the chocolate comes to room temperature (overnight should do it), if you remove the plastic too soon moisture will form and the chocolate will discolor.

Can You Freeze Pretzels

Chocolate is a colder set. This is one for the tiny box in the
freezer for deeper freeze. Or pack it between ice. The
feature of bread like is that the mold activation of yeast will
stay soft in the center, then crystalize like. The freeze type
is like ice cube koolaid, or soup. The container will soften
along the inside from some escaping carbos. So keep
them deep packed. Hope you have a great summer.

Your pretzels shouldn't be mushy but will probably be slighty less crunchy than originally. Also expect the chocolate to change in color slighty unless of course you are buying white chocolate covered pretzels.

They should be fine. as long as no ice crystals form on the outside. If that happens, you might have to thaw them in the fridge and then lay them out on a cookie sheet to dry.

The shelf life on both items are quite lengthy, I don't think you'll need to freeze these at all. Keep them in a cool spot in your pantry. Check the date but it'll probably be a ways out.

Why would you freeze them than thaw them?

Not really. The chocolate will discolor and they will probably alter the texture slightly.

OK , it's not like they're expensive . . .
Buy a couple , freeze them , couple days later , try them .
It will be a cheap experiment .
