After that, i received 16 calls, one after the other. I could nt get caller id on it because it was out of state. Should i be concerned? It's 13 year old girl. i told her i cannot talk to her because she is 13. She didnt go away. she started making threats that if i dont talk to her, she will report. So, i started logging her conversations. She said she is going to hunt me down if she has to. I have had 16 calls now and my phone no, can be found on the internet if they did a name search and i m concerned. Should i tell the police?

i have deleted the question as it contains my full name. Secondly, although i wont tell u how she could have gotten the phone, as others can possibilly do it, i m going to say that this is scarey. Should i atleast have a police complaint of her or something? I know it could be a 30 year old man, but you understand probably the consequence of this. I appreciate if someone can tell me the right course of action.

If it make you feel better tell the police but I have to tell you that without STRONG evidence they won't do anything. They are not going to trace calls (YOU have to call your phone company) and with the information you have I can assure you that they are not going to move a finger because they have tons of cases like you... unless she's actually saying that she's going to kill you or something like that then maybe but once again I don't think so. Stop chatting with people online there's alot of freaks out there, that 13 year old girl could be a grown @ss man trying to scare you and that's all.

Good luck.

Yeah. Call the police and file a report. Report it to yahoo. Change the way you display your info so people can't track you down. Be more cautious online. Don't give out personal info. And dont' assume he or she is really who they say they are ie a 13 year old girl. Don't talk to this person in any way. Don't try to reason with him or her. Let the authorities deal with it so you can't be held liable for anything and they can figure out the best way to handle it. If they give you advice, take it. Good luck. Sorry this happened to you.

Make a police report to CYA and contact your phone company to see if they can put a "trap" on your line to ID the call. Also go to Radio Shack and get a recorder that can record both sides of the conversation to also CYA. Be alert of your surroundings as a 13year old can pull a trigger as easy as anyone else can.

I wouldn't be too concerned about a 13 year old girl unless she's packing. Also, she blocked her caller i.d. - being from out of state doesn't automatically block it. Tell the cops if it makes you feel better, but they won't/can't do anything about it with the info you've given.

First stop taking her calls!
Then email Yahoo and tell them what she's doing.
Then close your account and open a new one with a new name and avatar. And don't let anyone email or IM you for a while. She'll get tired of this and forget about you pretty quickly.
And for God's sake, be more careful about who you give your name and number to !

Why does this 13year old have your phone number? She would need to know your real name and location to look it up.
Change your phone number immediately to an unlisted one and stop chatting with her on line.

Is this your real name? How many more people are going to able to call you. Did you just post her name?? Why are you having ANY conversations with her?

Yes, call the police and make a report.
Be sure to give the investigating detectives the date and time of every call, so they can find her calls to you.

I would start by notifying the parents. You can get phone numbers for about $50.00 online. Money well invested.
