What's more attractive? Pale or tan?

I'm a very pale red head and I burn easily in the sun, so I'll never be tan. =(

Natural is ALWAYS the best!!! Be yourself, and please don't use that awful self-tanning crap or spray paint tanning. It looks SO lame.

I think it depends on the person. Nicole Kidman is a good example. She is beautiful with pale skin. Then you have Jennifer Anniston that looks beautiful with a tan. I would suggest that you go to the store get one of those products that will give you a tanned look without having to spend hours in the sun. Don't shock anybody by going to work the next day looking like a pumpkin. Let it happen slowly. That way you can decide if you like it and people can get use to it.

Pale skinned girls are pretty. Specially when they have light eyes and fair hair. Light tans are ok but those fake orange tans are ugly specially with bleached hair... You're naturally tanned, so you should be ok. Btw, people with medium skin tone, like me, can look good tanned, but there's a limit.

For you-pale. There's nothing wrong with that at all. Some people look good tan, others pale, red heads would NOT look good with tans...they'd just come out looking like beef.

I like my boys tan, and I think tan girls tend to be more beautiful but that's just my perception of beauty... plus, I think I wish I was a bit more tan haha.

But there are people who like the pale look..

By the way, I mean NATURALLY tan, I don't mean people who go tanning for hours.. I don't like the tanning crap either (unless youre at the beach and just doing stuff) but I hate it when people deliberately tan in tanning beds.

I like both, hot tanned spanish girl, or a pale goth chick, It's not that big of a deal, some people like tanned and some like pale, if you burn easy don't hurt yourself, rock your own complexion and feel good about it. I'm sure you're hot!

Tan may be in vogue now but don't worry when you and I are old we will have beautiful, milky and smooth complexion. Don't give in to trends and keep your beautiful skin free of the sun's harmful rays, more than just 15 minutes a day is damaging. Red heads are beautiful!

everyone has their preferences.
i have dark brown/black hair and i am very very pale, and my boyfriend loves the contrast! but one of my guy friends prefers really really tanned! so it depends on who you/they are. I alsways wanted to be tan, but after years of tryign to tan, self tanning(that more often than not turned orange!) out in the sun, with no results i decided just to accept that i was going to be pale!! and as i said my bf loves it =P

Me and you have the same problem, i hope the style will be pale soon, because then me and you {and all the other pale people} will have the upper hand, and all those people who tan will just be seen as leathery wrinkly people they are under the glow of their tan.

I think red heads are better pale. How often do you see a tan red head honestly? If you really wanted to be tan though you could always get a PROFESSIONAL spray tan, the ones i've seen aren't too orange really.

tan is way better!

if you get sunburn, then just try applying those self-tanners don't go too dark.

if you have light skin go to a medium

and for a medium skin go to dark.

I personally love getting tans in the summer. You look more fresh. Pale makes you look dull.

and if you are not upto the self-tanners, you can also apply a little bit of bronzer.
