Next thing you know they'll be claimng Moses, and Daniel, and who knows who else.
Jesus was born in Israel, of a Jewish mother.
There is absolutely no evidence that there is any Arabian ancestry involved, anywhere.
OH, and Muslims didn't even exist for at least four hundred years AFTER Jesus. So, I can't see how they think Jesus could possibly have been a Muslim.
Having said that, I'd like to add that, according to my belief, Jesus is God. He is the "Owner of the store"....including the Muslim aisle.
So, while Jesus was not an Arab, and certianly not a Muslim, He is certainly their God, as well as mine, and everyone else's. They just don't know it.
Yet.

No, He didnt claim to be muslim. Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to all believers to teach and remind them of what Jesus taught. The quran says in sura 6:163 that Muhammad was the first muslim. None of the prophets were muslim. The quran is what only one false prophet claims. He has nothing to back up his claims and none of the prophets talk about Muhammad.

The Koran and Islam are definitely in conflict with Christian doctrine.
In other countries where Islam is the dominant population Muslims exercise hatred against Jews and Christians with equal ferocity. Where Muslims are not in a majority like America Muslims lie (to deceive as it teaches in their holy books) so they say Jesus was a Muslim to make people think there is some validity to their false and deceptive religion.

to boot to having the chronology incorrect (as previous responder notes, Jesus lived 600 years in the previous Muhammed based Islam), you have the language incorrect. In Arabic (and different semitic languages), ordinarily the basis of a word is 3 consonants. You derive tenses and nominatives from the word via putting distinctive vowel sounds between the consonants. SLM is the basis for "peace". Salaam (Shalom, Salem) skill "Peace unto you". Islam skill "the way of peace". Muslim skill "individual who practices peace." guy Deutscher, in "The Unfolding of Language", explains it lots greater proper than i will. Now, you should conflate Jesus' honorific "prince of peace" with "individual who practices peace" in a prevalent way, yet that still does not place Jesus interior the religion. by the way, the Quran lists Jesus (alongside with the old testomony prophets) as predecessors to Muhammed, or perhaps makes the errors of saying that Alexander the great accompanied a similar God (he did no longer, he became into into Greek Polytheism). yet Jesus nonetheless isn't a capital-M Muslim.

Jesus was Muslim as every single person is when they are born. This is what Muslims believe. He was also Muslim also because He submitted to the will of God. He came to spread a messege to the people of the time even though it went unlistened to by some. I

According to Quran, he was a Muslim and so was Moses and all the other Prophets (Pbut) because Muslim just means: Submission of oneself to God. and that is what all the prophets did.

Jesus didnt claim he is muslim, but he was muslim because islam means " Submission to God", and jesus worship God. So he was muslim. The way of jesus prayer was different of mohammed's way. Jesus was worshiping God in church like the moses way. Mohammed ways of prayer is the Ibrahams way. But all massengers and prophets were worshiping God and they were in Submission to God "Allah" so they are all muslims.

Islam means "Voluntary submission to the Lord of Abraham".
Muslim means : "One who has submitted themselves to the Lord of Abraham"
It is a term that can be used from the time of Adam to the last day.
