Harvesting wind power is an excellent idea and it is currently being used. However, advance technology is needed to integrate the power produced by windmills to the national grid.

Individual windmills tend to perform better than wind farm. Offshore wind farm is a great way to harvest wind power as some parts of the ocean is very windy.
