Yes. It's a sadness that runs so deep because it's purely emotional, rather than physical.

Yes, I actually went about a year feeling this way. My life had taken a major change where I moved across the country, left my friends, family, pets and job. When I first arrived in California, I started to think I had made the wrong decision, and I was wrecked with homesickness. Crying seemed torturous somehow, like if I cried that meant the situation was "real" so I held allot in! Big mistake!! Once I finally let myself cry around Christmas time, thats when I could start feeling better and moving on. Life is slowly starting to turn around for me. Sometimes when youre sad, you gotta walk/talk yourself through it. Imagine the worst that could happen and make yourself live it so you can see that even if it gets to that, it isnt the end of the world.

Yes, and you may or may not know what is making you sad.
Sometimes what really helps is watching a movie or reading a book that makes you cry.
I'd like to recommend "Pay It Forward", wonderful movie,
will make you cry and make you think.
Tears help your body remove some kind of chemical that is within the body and that in turn can help relieve stress.

You don't need to cry. You need to feel what is happening to you or around you. Maybe the tears will come later, maybe they won't.

When something very sad happens I'm often in shock for a bit. After a while I'll cry.
