Well 3500 kcal= 1 lb of fat. So basically you need to burn 3500 more calories than you eat to lose 1 lb. What will happen with strength training though is the fat will be replaced with muscle, which is fine, to be 220 and muscular is perfectly fine, unless you are extraordinarily short. I would suggest more cardio if you wanted to just lose weight. I do not think that it is a reasonable to think that you will lose that much weight in that short of time, but unless i is absolutely necessary the way you are doing it is the best way because the weight will not comeback on like it will with extreme methods as long as you keep exercising. 2-3 lbs per week is a good goal, I would keep with your diet, just make sure to get enough fruits and vegetables, to have a balanced diet. Other than that if you can keep with your plan that is the best way to lose weigt and good luck.

I,M a boxing coach and I agree with everyone who said where is the scales. Any way here is how I lost the weight. I run for 45 minutes a day 6 days a week no fried food no soft drinks no white bread no dairy products and don,t over eat only eat half of what you would normally eat and don,t eat after 7:Io you can eat all the veges you want and baked chicken and fish but remember don,t over eat or you can walk for 1 hour a day 6 days a week if you can do this you will lose 2-5 lbs a week cardio cardio cardio cardio this is the key weigh your self every Monday in the morning after you work out and before you eat.

I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.
The plan was so refreshing and so simple to follow. I did everything plan said and lost 23 pounds in the first three weeks. I'm now starting the diet again to lose 7 more pounds. This plan has changed my life.
Get started today!

First of all to lose that much weight in that amount of time is not safe. And eating 700-950 is not healthy and could acually slow down your metabolism. What are you doing in the gym for 45 mins a day if you aren't doing much cardio???? Where is the protein and fats in your diet? Look at bodyforlife.com. There is a safe way to eat and exercise tips on there. Please don't continue what you are doing.

Hmmm--no scale at the gym?
Anyway, if you can manage to take off a pound a week, you're doing excellent. You're trying for about 3x that much.
Metabolisms vary, so I have no idea what 700-950 calories/day means in your case.

ya, i'm with buddy up above. why the hell doesn't your gym have a scale? and if you were really serious about losing weight, wouldn't you invest like 50 bucks into getting a scale to track your progess? hmmm.
That said, eat more protien. helps with building all those muscles you are working at the gym
