Why create us in the first place? Doesn't that make predestination a throw of loaded dice? "Here's your choice. No? I knew it anyway, here's your punishment. By the way, I loved you."

Thank you Mariah, for digging your head in the sand and electing blissful ignorance rather than answering the question.

Tc, you may just have to ask an atheist then.

Pastor Art, please try again, you can't possibly be clergy and have answered the question the way you did.

Sorry Mariah, I shouldn't have singled you out with so many similar answers. Folks, the atheists have the upper hand just by denying God's existence. Christians, please think.

Lilith P, For you, I'll re-phrase. "Here's your gift from Satan, choose me. No? I knew it anyway, here's your punishment. By the way, I loved you."

LMAO!!! God gives everyone the opportunity to get to know Him and follow...after a while, there is nothing more He can do do persuade you, if everytime He tries to be near you, you push Him away...there comes a time when YOU tie God's hands your own life, and He has to let you go...if God made you follow Him, you would hate him anyway and even more. God hates sin, but He loves us...sin, in the end hurts us all because the Devil makes it look so good and harmless so when we find out it's not what we thought, it's too late...so what should God do, keep people who don't care about Him and love sin (the thing that hurts us) AND keep the ones that DO LOVE HIM AND HATE SIN and make them go through hardship because people who choose sin over God don't want to suffer the consequences...that doesn't make sense... the Bible says the wadges of sin, is ultimately death...it's that simple...YOU determine most of what happens to you by deciding whether or not you want God to be the head of your life of the Devil....Most people who ask this question don't have a clear understanding of how God and salvation works, you shouldn't really listen to anyone, read the Bible and find out for yourself...if what anyone else says contradicts the Bible, then don' listen...and mind you, the Devil knows the Bible better than any pastor, he used to be the head angel in Heaven, so believe you me, he wants you to not read Bible and be angry when some things don't seem fair or you don't understand...because then you are open to his deceptions...hope that helps...i really understand where your coming from though...i also hope you really want to understand this and not just be angry and disagreeable about it...holla

Well Snarlna, first things is there is no such thing as a christian who knows anything about what they believe in. Face it, they are sheep being led by a goat. To answer the question, there can not be a god, and isn't. Simple logic can help you with thios. If god existed would he allow his world to be violated as people do everyday? No. Think, if you had the power to make a planet and people would you allow the people to violate your makings? No you would not. Would you want people on your planet to have all sorts of sickness and many dying everyday from things that you could cure right away? No you not. Therefore, if there was an omi-everything god, this world world would be perfect, no sickness and no working to have food either. Religion is a bag of crap and stupidity accepted by ignorance aplenty. You can answer your own question and you already have. It is impossible that a god exists.

God's knowledge is from all eternity. The way you phrased your question indicates that you are really asking 'if God foreknows what we will do, where's our free will?' This is a question people have grappled with for centuries, wanting to preserve both our free will and God's omniscience. Generally it is answered by saying that God's omniscience is not foreknowledge, because to say that would imply temporality to God's knowledge, but God - and His knowledge - are outside of time.
So what we see in a sense from the perspective of being one point in a long line, God sees as one line, in one act of knowledge. It's like the story Flatland, where the one and two-dimensional creatures have difficulty understanding the 3-dimensional creature. From our perspective, absolute knowledge of the future seems to indicate that it is fixed and not subject to change or choice; from a perspective outside of time, knowledge of the future does not determine it in a causative way.

The predestination element in my opinion was created my man to control others. On the other hand, man doesn't have Free Will but the Freedom to make selection for a given set of options. If one is not given the option to select, how can they select an option that is not present?

God gives us free choice and loved us so much He sent His only Son to die in our place.
What is commonly taught as "prediestination" comes from John Calvin and his followers and not from the Bible.
God knew in advance what we will do, but it was our choice.
Romans 8:29 For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers

"IF" is a big word, perhaps in all of human language its for only two letters the biggest of them all, "IF" you Love me [then] keep my commandments John 14:15, and if thats your opinion about God then what do you do with the most famous verse in all the bible John 3:16 For God [The Father] "SO" Loved that He gave His Son [Jesus the second member of The Godhead gave Himself] that WHOSOEVER should BE-LIVE IN me shall NOT PERISH but have everlasting life, but "IF" as you know is a BIG word, Did you ever notice AND PLEASE READ "EACH" WORD, In Matthew 7:13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide [is] the gate, and broad [is] the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
7:14 Because strait [is] the gate, and narrow [is] the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
Jesus gave HIS LIFE so WHOSOEVER would accept it to come to Him for life but "FEW" FIND it, why its the "IF" Adam and Eve when the sinned "hid themselves' from God, because there relationship changed there spiritual life died, we because we are His grandchildren must choose to either accept the conditions upon eternal life is offered but IF NOT then what else can God do, He is also the God of JUSTICE, so its either HIS mercy OR His justice but its OUR choice. Also in 1 John 1:9 says "IF" you confess your sins [then] He is faithfull and just to forgive us our sins "AND" cleanse us from ALL unrighteousness, but its our choice, and that punishment is eternal death as spoken of in Rev.20:6, the death and the "EFFECTS" of the fire are forever NOT the fire itself that is a devil teaching, find out more free bible lessons www.amazingfacts.org email me also wgr88@yahoo.com God bless

The Lamb of God at the foundation. Planned in the foundation. That it is predestined we will be saved by the Lamb since the foundation.
God the Father, Word & Holy Spirit created us in their image. Genesis1.
God thinks most of us will come to His Saving Grace. Some choose to go to hell. It is Gods purpose & will that all will come to repentance & be saved. Hell was never Gods purpose or plan for us. Hell was made for the devil & his messengers.

basically by using fact God knows what you will opt for it does not replace the actuality which you get to come to a decision on. If God exists exterior of time, or in all circumstances concurrently (my fashionable concept without data of it in besides), then he may be attentive to each thing without influencing our unfastened will.

1) Because the only way to be certain that no one would reject Him is to not create anyone at all.
2) Even if someone chooses to reject Him, it's still their choice.

I don't believe it was God who gave us free will, but Satan, to free us from the bonds of God's slavery. His whole "punishment" thing is used to frighten people into bowing at his feet and becoming his slave. For many it is the fear that keeps them in his service, not the love, because make no mistake about it, the only thing that God loves is himself. The worship only strokes his ego. I think it is impossible for him to know who will and who will not choose him, because of the free will given to us by Satan.
