Do you religious people honestly think that the Bible (or God) will solve all your problems???? many religious people always have to involve God or the bible to EVERYTHING! it irritates me to hear God or the Bible in many issues. i have NOTHING against religion or religious people but it gets annoying when religion seeps into everything! If we want to solve problems, we have to put something of our parts, not just wait for the Bible or God to magically solve the problems. that is my opinion.

Since you address Christians what does Christ say?
Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
I guess that brings God and the Bible into absolutely everything. Yup, religion seeps into everything.
Well spotted.
I don't fancy your opinion against Christ's though.
Looks to me like you hate Him.

Others here have made good points as to why a religious person would involve God and his word in all parts of their life. The only thing I could add is that it might not be the fact that some people here bring up God or the bible in their remarks that irritates you, but rather how they do it. In my view, to be religious does not mean you hope for God to solve all problems by direct intervention. This is an insulting view of God. After all, God gave us a mind, reason, friends, talents and skills and a whole world full of resources. He promised always to be with us. What more do we need? Why would he give us all this and not expect us to use it? Besides, I find it miraculous that we have a mind and skills and a plentiful world and kind people around us to help and that God himself would care so much about us. I sure can't make a mind, or a world or give people talents and insight and I can not offer the presence and love offered by God. These things are miracles.

You are way out on a limb with, "If we want to solve problems, we have to put something of our parts, not just wait for the Bible or God to magically solve the problems"
1. Have you ever seen religious people who need a church building , sit, pray, and then just wait for God to miraculously present them with a church building?
2. Have you ever seen religious people who are out of a job, sit, pray, and then just wait for God to give them money? Or do they go and look for a job?
3. How many religious people do you know who can afford to take their sick child to the doctor, sit at home with the child, pray, and then wait for God to heal the child? A few, but MOST will seek medical attention and pray that God will guide the doctor in his diagnosis, and that the medication will work.
4. How many religious people are there whose car broke down on the road, who would sit and pray that God will fix the car? Rather, they call the mechanic and pray that they would not be overcharged.
It is not one or the other. Religious people do what they can, "we put something of our parts" as you say, and THEN pray that it will work. Sometimes, we have more that one option: we pray that God will enlighten our minds that we will make the right choice. Then we make the choice, and put something of our parts into the execution of that decision.

I don't think God is there to solve all our problems. I think problems are part of a bringing on of his people. Everything is a process with an outcome which will eventually bring us all face to face with him. All life choices are our own and I as a Christian will try to make those choices with God in the fore front, and OUR measure of what we do is the Bible. OUR being the operative word. All Christians are responsible for what we say and do and are accountable to God. And as for religion seeping into everything for people who believe and are in Christ. Well of course that will happen because we belong and are in him and our hope is in him. That's where its at for us. Hope this helps.

You'll just have to remain annoyed, because a solid bible thumping christian believes all that crap, and thinks some personal sky daddy is watching over every little thing that they do.
And they pray for their selfish little wishes, fully realizing that this tiny rock call earth sits in a universe the size of Colorado, has 6.5 billion people on it, and out of all of those people, some one is listening and thinking about only them.... Yeah, I know... beyond any logic available. Amazing isn't it?
The bigger the lie, the more will believe. If one person believes the lie, they call that person nuts. If a bunch do, it is called a religion... Go figure.

who said that god or the bible is going to magically solve our problems? It is through obedience and love for the Savior that we encounter more problems being Christian, I don't know where this lie of having a better life or living with no suffering as being a Christian comes from? That is not even biblical at all, as Christians we are told that we are goign to suffer just as Christ suffered.
I don't know why you are irritated at people talking about religion or god's name if you yourself are doing the same thing. That makes no sense at all.

Religion, why do we need it everything the bible says has been proven as a clever mans novel, nowadays who ever wrote it would be a rich man, religion has caused too many deaths, and is still doing so, I,m not saying we the Brits should be like the "shoot if it moves" yanks, we the Brits are in a precarious posistion , as a country of many different peoples, the freedom of speach allows too many fanatics to express foreign agendas

A Christian's goal is to seek God on all things to make Him a very important part of their life. We use His Word to shape our thoughts and beliefs and advice on all things. Now this is not to say that we should think God is just gonna go and fix everything so our lives will be perfect no problems and rich.. that's not what it's about. When we ask for forgiveness for example God forgives us and keeps us from heavenly punishment BUT that doesn't mean that we don't have to deal with the consequences here on earth... we still have responcibility to society and God wants us to live up to those... also He will help us get through them and do the right thing. God isn't a genie in the bottle your wish is my command.... His wish is Our command. We including him in all areas of our lives because that's what he wants us to do. When someone asks us for advice we do our level best to answer from God's prospective not ours.
It's not magic. If you ask God for a job... it's not gonna fall in your lap... what your really asking for or should be asking for is the wisdom and patience to find the job he wants you to have. A job where you can live your faith and have an influence on others use the gifts and talents he gave you and provide for your financial NEEDS not wants. The object is not for him to snap his fingers there you are... it's to lead and guide us in the way we are to go... Christianity isn't about livin it easy... it's about running the race hard and fast Listening for direction to avoid or get through obsticles.

Dont attack us, and then get offended when your beliefs are are played out as folly in front of you... I.E. "I'm being attacked" *Insert Crying Baby here*...
Listen. If you don't have anything against "religious people", then don't post the question which actually attacks us. The Bible doesn't give us the direct answers, but it gives us a way to cope. This world is a sinful, dark pit. The Hope we have in Christ Jesus, the relationship which gives us someone to talk to in times of trouble (Psalm 23 - or you might call it an imaginary friend...) gets us through some pretty bleek times. The hope of knowing our destined future, praising, worshipping and serving our creator in a powerful loving relationship gets me through plenty difficult times.
If you don't like religious people, out right say it. Don't hide behind your relativistic framework and be a hypocrite yourself.

You're right. Any Christian who says ALL they do about ALL situations is pray about them is not following what the NT teaches. Read the epistle of James, which shows that faith is about practicalities as well as words. Paul points out that salvation is by faith, but that we are saved in order to do what Christ expects of us.
However, the BEST thing a Christian can do is pray about all things, asking for God to show the best action for a situation. Throwing money into a beggar's cap is not necessarily the best thing, as that may be spent on booze or drugs. Even throwing money at a good cause can be stupid (look at the state of the UK's National Health (dis)Service to see that).
I disagree with your using the word 'religious' for Christians, as that implies actions FOR salvation, not actions BECAUSE we are saved, which is faith; hence Christianity being 'THE faith delivered once for all unto the saints'.
Hope this helps: God bless you.
