Place an ice pack at the back of your neck for ten minutes at a time. Do this several times a day. massage toothpaste (yes, toothpaste) on your temples and lay quietly in a cool room With the ice pack on the back of your neck . This will often take away the pain.

n a dark room, I put in earplugs, lie on my back with ice in a rolled towel under my neck. I put a drop or two of rosemary oil on a washcloth and put in on my chest (so that it's not overwhelming)and hold a pillow or a rolled towel over JUST my eyes/forehead (for slight pressure). A pillow under the knees helps too
Goto any grocery store and buy a Piece of ginger root, grind a 1 inch piece up and add to any type of juice. Drink a glass a day. Great in preventing Migrains. Another is eat a handfull of real ginger snap cookies. For imediate relief is take a 1 inch piece of ginger root and chew on it. It is very hot in flavor but relieves the migrine emediatly
Put a wash cloth on your forehead. Apply an ice pack on top of the wash cloth. Then take an ace bandage and wrap it around your head tightly securing the ice pack. Lay down in a dark room and nap for 30 minutes. The ice pack and pressure will ease the pain. The nap will relax you and alleviate the migraine.
TEAR OFF A PIECE OF BROWN PAPER BAG (THE HEAVY ONES THAT YOU GET AT THE GROCERY STORE NOT LUNCH BAG) SOAK IN WHITE VINEGAR AND SQUEEZE EXCESS AND PLACE ON FOREHEAD AND LAY IN DARK ROOM FOR AT LEAST 30 MINUTES.
Take a hot bath with a warm wash cloth over your forehead,or take a short nap in a dark, quiet room with a cold compress on your forehead. This almost always helps rid me of them or at least make them more bearable.
drink 2 tablespoons of vinegar. It is not the most pleasant taste but I promise that it does get rid of headaches!!!
