what is this type of doctor called.......?

a doctor that works specifically with athletes....
not an athletic trainer......but a DOCTOR...

He's a specialist in sports medicine, but his title remains "Doctor".

Orthopedics are the most common Doctors to work with athletes.

They can either be members of the American Medical Association (M.D.) or Osteopaths (D.O) which specialize in sports medicine just like some doctors specialize in cancer.
