It is terrible Dutch.

Hello Macy. Are you going to that thing in the mountains for the spring break? Aunt Cheri wanted us to be there, but I don´t know ... I hate family affairs. Anyway, I will let you know.

I love you.

and

I know it.

I have not seen her in a long time! Do you think she will remember us? As far as I can remember she and Katherine (this part not even guessing I understand)

Well, I am going to bed.

I will tell you later about my love.

Your astonished cousin,

That was really hard to understand.

If you visit the Netherlands you will be able to manage if all you know is English. Almost everyone will speak it well enough to communicate with you and understand you. When in doubt keep your words simple, stay away from specific slang. A lot of Dutch, but by no means all, especially of the younger generations will speak American English almost fluently. Additionally quite a few of us speak at the very least basic French and German. You will not hear Dutch speaking English in public unless it's a mixed group were someone does not speak Dutch. In some sub cultures, especially amongst the teens, don't be surprised if suddenly a string of (rather profane) English, Arabic or Surinam is heard.

My GUESS to that sentence is:-

As far as I recall, her and Katherine fought completely/constantly at full speed/ in fast gear.

What do you think Martha?
I agree, the Dutch sounds awful!
