There's nothing un-normal about boy's cooking. Some of the best cooks out there are male chefs. Everyone has a specialty, some are good at baking, others are better with meals while still others are very artistic with presentation and can make an old show look good enough to eat. Pick any meal of the day, breakfast, lunch or dinner, then decide what you enjoy eating for that meal the most. If you really enjoy something, your heart will be in preparing it. For example, if you like chicken, look for a chicken recipe, maybe lemon thyme chicken. Just use your imagination, a good cookbook and practise, practise, practise, you'll develope your skill in no time.

Of course it's normal for you to want to cook! There's nothing better than cooking! Fun and delicious all at once. (Depending on what you make and if it gets burnt or not!) The easiest thing to try is baked beans on toast obviously but for more of a challenge why not burrow or buy a cook book? I would recommend Jamie Oliver - he has some lovely recipes and they're easy to follow. If you don't like that idea then I have always been amazed by what my brother can make by chucking a few of his favourite ingredients into a pan and making a pasta or stir-fry. Then it turns out to be lovely! He adds olives, tomatoes, pasta, spinach and anything else he can think of in the pan and voila! The key is to be imaginative. If all these fail then best thing is to find a girlfriend who can teach you to cook! Good luck!

It's totally normal to want to cook, you're just probably embarrassed to admit that to your friends. Start off with box mixes and read the backs for not only the directions, but things you could add in. My beginning cookbook was the Better Homes & Gardens one, with the red/white checkerboard cover. It does a lot of explaining about WHY you're doing things in the recipe.

When I was in HS, there were boys in the Home Ec cooking classes, it wasn't shameful at all and these were wrestlers and football guys! Also keep in mind that the majority of pro chefs are men, and that women LOVE a man who can cook. :)

Well just start with something simple. Such as macaroni and cheese, chocolate cookies, even frozen pizza! If you mess up don't get frustrated. It's okay everybody will make a mistake cooking. Even if your a guy you can cook. Some of the world's famous cooks are men. Good Luck!!!

I taught my kids yesterday to make boiled eggs. They are 9 and 8. The oldest just eats them and the other helps me make deviled eggs.
