Yes, I do, It differs sometimes it is a whole chapter or a book at a time. I am trying this a new way of studying to get the whole complete aspects of a book by book understanding. This is easier obviously with the smaller books but the bigs it takes more time involvement such as Jeremiah, Isaiah the Psalms. However it is worth the time involvement. Then I study exegetically, long process to squeeze and extract the juice of the scripture. I read the scriptures several ways. One is to look at it from differing points of view.

The best personal time I have with the scripture involves meditating on - that is revolving it around in my mind reading it over and over and over till the scripture passage that I am focusing on dissolves in my being. It takes time but it will eventually and I take the time till it does. I give the scriptures authority over my thoughts and thinking process and anything that I have learned before. To constantly readjust it to the Word.

When I first got into the Bible, I read and read and read, and then topics began coming into focus, so I began topical studies. I would have a manila folder for each topic. I would write the scripture out by hand, one by one, that covered the topic, from the old testament through the new. Anytime I wanted to refresh my mind on a subject, I would just open the folder and read all the scriptures. It works GREAT !!!

Now, I don't have the folders, but have the Scriptures in my spirit. Sometimes I have to refresh, so I look through all the markings in my Bible. It don't take long now.

My Bible is a Thompson Chain Ref. Bible KJV. A great study Bible ! If you want to go deeper, get a Bible Dictionary, a Greek Interlinear, Strongs Concordance, and a Hebrew Interlinear.

Not every day, sometimes I read a book about God, something that helps me deepen my spirituality.

How do I personally study the Bible? I take a chapter or a story at a time and delve into it. I'll research it on the web, or find some book to read about it, or just pick it apart word for word when I don't get it at all lol.

How much to read at a time? I'd suggest you read a chapter or two a day. Again, just enough to get a full story in, then spend the rest of the time/day thinking about it.

i should read it daily but i can't say that I always do. About two years ago i read the bible straight through starting at genesis and so when i read i would just pick up where i left off - usually reading about 4 -5 chapters a day. Now i'm studying certain books and I just read a few chapters, read commentaries about it and also complete any available bible studies on the particular book.

I read in the evening before bed, typically. I just restarted Genesis and I'm in Chapter 10 right now. I read whatever amount is right at the time - sometimes a chapter, sometimes more. I use a couple different versions to check meanings when something is unclear.

In fact, I was reading in my Women's Devotional NIV once in the Gospel of John, and decided to cross reference the first chapter with the Greek interlinear...the phrase "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God" in the Greek translates to, "...and God was the Word". Just a little twist that I thought was interesting and thought provoking.

I confess that I don't actually read my Bible every day like I used to. Now that I've been on R&S however, I find myself reading it more when I look up verses to give answers and many times I'll end up reading a couple of chapters, then meditating and doing a bible study.

It really depends. I got a book that teaches you how to study. You can do book, chapter or verse. There are several different ways as well. I like the Chapter study myself. What is most in common in the study is reading it at least 5 times. You really do get a lot more out of it. A friend of mine reads a book of the Bible over and over for a whole month. Not the whole book in one day. This is the book I have

Go to www.e-sword.net and down load as many free translations of the bible as you want. Find a translation that is most easily read and understood by you. They also have an awesome devotion by Hoekstra, which can be down loaded for free. It has so many programs that will help you dissect the bible word by word. Do you eat food daily? Then one should feed themselves spiritually daily by reading their bible. (This is harder said than done) I get busy and forget to read my Bible some days, then I have to make up for it because my goal is to read through it in a year. I read Good News Bible so it is a pleasure to read not a task.

Daily, but keep in mind one should read with "understanding!"

2Ti 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

"rightly dividing the word" of truth.

dividing 3718 orqotomew orthotomeo or-thot-om-eh'-o
from a compound of orqoV - orthos 3717 and the base of tomwteroV - tomoteros 5114, to make a straight cut, i.e. (figuratively) to dissect (expound) correctly (the divine message):--rightly divide.

So how does one rightly divide? You have to disect each word.

So when one reads a ch. . .
Keep " Subject", "Object "and the" 4 W's."

Who it written to?

Why, where, when, so you get a full understanding.
