i dont try to shove my beliefs down anyone's throat...if someone doesnt want to hear it, i stop...however, your belief that he is NOT real is pretty apparent, and i cant make it stop from being on this board...seems a little hypocritical to me ;)

I am a Christian but I don't believe in "shoving Christ down everyone's throat." I do believe in witnessing for the Lord when the time is right but in witnessing you should just talk not try to "force" someone to believe as you do. God said you plant the seed and I'll give the increase. All we have to do is talk about the Lord and let the Lord do the shoving so to speak! Not all Christians are alike in that manner. I said in a previous post and I stand by it, that is part of what gives Christianity such a bad name and bad rap is people doing things and being hypocritical and judgmental when that isn't what Christianity is supposed to be.

We call it witnessing, not shoving Christ down someones throat! No, we aren't arrogant, dull, or a combination. We are just being obedient to what Christ has called us to do.
As believers we are called by God to be a witness. That is
not an option – Matt. 28:18-20 makes clear that this still is a mandate for followers of Christ in the 21st century. It is not an option anymore than loving God or loving our neighbors as ourselves is an option. We are all commanded to tell others what has happened in our life. In Rom. 10:14 Paul, by simple analogy, explains if we do not tell they will not hear. If they do not hear they will not believe. If they do not believe then they will not be saved.
God Bless.

We don't "shove" Christ down everyone's throat nor do we try to "make" everyone believe what we do. I know some people can be pushy and annoying about it but you can't put all of us into that category. We do what we know is right and I believe if someone has made it clear to us that they don't want to hear it then all we can do is pray for them and let them be. It's not our job to save everyone, we just have to spread the good news. If you don't want to hear it then that's fine no one should be trying to force it at you. But neither should anyone else be be forcing things at us that they know we believe is wrong. If you give me respect then I'll give you yours and that's just the way it should be even if we can't convert the whole world, which we never will.

As a believer myself I feel any person that try to shove Christ down someones throat is hypercritical and judge mental in a lot of cases, I personally would not do that to me as long as you live your life to your best ability and believe in some higher power you are further along than a lot of people that proclaim Christianity.

It is out of love to you, and more importantly, obedience to God.
The facts are:
We as Chistians are obligated/commanded to present the Gospel to all peoples. (Matt 28:18-20 ,The Great Commision)
We are not commanded to press anyone to listen or understand. You have your free will to choose to be disobidient.
We can only present the Scripture, we can not convert, only God has the power to do so, to choose you and fill you with the Holy Spirit.
But it is our duty to give you the option of hearing about the Scripture.

Jesus gave his followers one last commission. At Matt. 28:19, 20, he said: "Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you. And, look! I am with you all the days until the conclusion of the system of things.”
All true Christians accept this assignment. If someone does not want to hear the message, it is not forced on them.

I just think they're trying to help, but don't realize they can at times come off a bit too strong. But that's anyone. Any group of people have people that are a bit too wound up. However, all in all I find them to be very sweet.

Would you care to know that Christ himself told his followers to "shove Christ down everyone's throat."
Actually, Christ did not word it that way.
Read Matthew 28:19.
Your beef is with Christ.

I'm still waiting for the Christian God to cure all Christians of terminal diseases. He doesn't seem to be in a hurry, although God did punish Christians with the black death a while back.
