Why do you think it's the fault of a supreme being? It's just "life". Life is unfair.

God has nothing to do with the making of anything. The template was set in the beginning of time and people are given free will (except in those whacked out countries and religions) to be good or bad. Most of us are a combination. Good parents can and should adopt a few of the millions of children available - older children particularly. Incompetent child abusers screw like jackrabbits because that is their only reason for taking up space on the earth. And many of those children are born drug exposed. The good people have always had to "put up" with the losers because we are good people.

Actually, the question is faulty. God never made a person, but people all over the world have made gods. Infertility is a naturally occuring phenomena, as is reproduction. God doesn't cause it, nature and environment do.

That is a good question. I was always taught, in the catholic school and in church:
1) God knows what is going to happen before it happens
2) A human life is God's gift

So, there is your question. And also, given those two things,

Why does he grant a baby to a woman he knows will only abort it, and allow another woman that wants a baby so bad that she cries herself to sleep every night and never grant her a baby.

No.

God doesn't exist, so he can't make anybody fertile or infertile. That's just superstition. The competency of the parents has nothing to do with their fertility.

Why not ask her? Remember, you can are only allowed to credit god for all good things, and not blame her for any of the bad things that occur. Quite a racket isn't it? And they wonder why people laugh at such beliefs.

God can never lose.

If something good happens, the religious say, "Praise God!"

If something bad happens, they say, "It's all part of God's divine plan that we can't possibly understand."

If there really is a God personally involved to this level of detail, then I can only conclude that He is an evil, cruel being.

this doesn't seem fair in our eyes, but we cannot see His whole plan. our minds are bound by time. we only see a very very very small part of God's plan. He sees the whole plan. He sees the big picture and He has everything under control. God has a reason for everything and we need to trust in Him even if we cannot see that reason.
your question assumes too much. God does not always do what you said.

"Actually, the question is faulty. God never made a person, but people all over the world have made gods. Infertility is a naturally occuring phenomena, as is reproduction. God doesn't cause it, nature and environment do."

God always makes people, first of all.
Job 31:15
15 Did not he who made me in the womb make them?
Did not the same one form us both within our mothers?
you have to give god more responsibility for things, as the quote below states. There is some truth to what he says.

"God can never lose.

If something good happens, the religious say, "Praise God!"

If something bad happens, they say, "It's all part of God's divine plan that we can't possibly understand."

If there really is a God personally involved to this level of detail, then I can only conclude that He is an evil, cruel being."
And then this person goes on to mention the book of Job as a source.
Apparently this person didn't read very thoroughly...
Job 1:21 (ESV)
And, he [Job] said, "Naked I came from my mother's womb, and naked shall i return. [I came into this world with nothing, and so shall I leave.] The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord."

so Job says "blessed be the name of the Lord." JOB IS PRAISING GOD REGARDLESS. we should always praise god, no matter what is going on.

What amazing blind faith, eh? This happened after God ALLOWED Satan (some would argue God caused, but i haven't got it compeletely figured out yet) to take away everything he had, including his family, except for his wife. the reason his wife remained is becuz of this:

Job 2:9-11 (ESV)
Then his wife said to him, "Do you still hold fast your integrity? Curse God and die." But he said to her, "You speak as one of the foolish women would speak. Shall we receive good from God, and shall we not receive evil?" In all this Job did not sin with his lips.

So His wife tempted him, but still Job was upright. And Job makes a very good point... what is our faith if we have none when things get bad? He lost his WHOLE FAMILY! Other than his wife of course, but she was there to tempt. Maybe if Job hadn't been so amazingly faithful, he would have come on Yahoo! Answers and asked: Why does God give people huge families if they are just going to die? (not to criticize)

But then at the end of the book of Job, he gets DOUBLE everything that was taken from him, becuz he remained faithful to the end, although he did come dangerously close to calling god unrighteous for what he did. Look at Job 38 till the end of the book, it talks a lot about how god shows Job that he is indeed righteous, and that he understands far more than any human, that a human can never question god. In Job 40:1-5
1 The LORD said to Job:

2 "Will the one who contends with the Almighty correct him?
Let him who accuses God answer him!"

3 Then Job answered the LORD :

4 "I am unworthy—how can I reply to you?
I put my hand over my mouth.

5 I spoke once, but I have no answer—
twice, but I will say no more."

he states that he understands, and he will not question again.

in Job 42:1-6

1 Then Job replied to the LORD :

2 "I know that you can do all things;
no plan of yours can be thwarted.

3 You asked, 'Who is this that obscures my counsel without knowledge?'
Surely I spoke of things I did not understand,
things too wonderful for me to know.

4 "You said, 'Listen now, and I will speak;
I will question you,
and you shall answer me.'

5 My ears had heard of you
but now my eyes have seen you.

6 Therefore I despise myself
and repent in dust and ashes."

to go off on a bit (lol) of a tangent, I just learned something in church today.
Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.
When Job heard god's word, he accepted it. Later, he understood it, not before:
5 My ears had heard of you
but now my eyes have seen you.

He heard (accepted) and then saw (understood).
At the very end of this book, Job gets everything back that he originally lost DOUBLE! he was rewarded for his faithfulness. i really hope this helps.

2 Corinthians show you who is responsible for such atrocities and I guarantee you that it is not the God of Moses, Abraham, Jacob, David, Joseph, Methuselah, or Jesus, who ever had in mind to do such a thing... Also the one at John 8:44 as opposed to the ones speaking at John 6: 44... Take care now!
