Why do nutrition experts on Yahoo talk about why "liquid calories" are bad so much, and therefore you must drink water? I understand about soda, but why is it bad to drink a glass of orange juice, for example, instead of eating an orange and drinking a glass of water?

it's not necessarily bad for the health but not optimum for fat loss.

in general liquid calories are digested rapidly while whole food calories take longer to digest. since they are digested quicker there would be a more rapid increase in blood sugar which can cause a greater insulin response.

Liquid energy would advise something with means content textile in liquid style - a wealthy soup, soda, alcohol, juice, milkshakes, and so on. this is extremely complicated simply by fact liquid energy are much less annoying and greater straight away ate up (this is far less annoying to drink some thing than bite and consume it) and the shortcoming of chewing rather impacts the sensation of fullness on your techniques. consume your energy, do no longer drink them (low fat milk would desire to be the single exception to this).

orange juice and other juices are usually loaded with added calories, sugar and sodium that you will not ingest by eating a fresh orange. if you're looking for the most nutritional choice without the extra calories, go with the orange.
