What is the specific sabbath time zone. Friday night at ____pm to Saturday at ____pm? My son's date is SDA and we now think she can't go to prom til 8pm. We thought it was 6pm to 6pm.

Friday sunset to Saturday sunset. So the hours change as the sunset time changes.

I am not SDA but I do believe that Saturday is the sabbath. What others have said Friday sunset till Saturday sunset,
is correct.

Some say sun down Friday till sun down Saturday, I don't know but that is a matter of minutes from sunset to sundown.

At this time of year in Arkansas it is around 8:00 pm. But that changes day to day.
The saints in the old testament did not have clocks. So I feel it is best to watch the sun.

I would just have your son ask her, "Can I pick you up at 6pm?" to see what her reply is. The fact that she is being allowed to attend the prom at all indicates her family must be very liberal with their Adventist beliefs as Adventist do not dance!!

The sunsets around sometime after 8:21pm in June.

I didn't go to my school prom because I moved away while being in 12th grade and I didn't know anyone in my new school.
