I know your intentions are good but sadly, many charities just want money. It makes me quite angry because as you said, there is someone in need of such items. My friend's son died afew years ago and recently, she found the courage to clear his toys out. She contacted hospices, charities, children's hospitals etc - she specifically wanted these items to go where children in need could benefit from them. Not ONE place would accept them - they wanted money only. You will find that most charities are run as business and the days of "companies" being grateful for things like this is gone - some of it is the health and safety issue again, over the top and just pure madness. Such a shame.

Wow that's very generous of you. I know my hospital goes on mercy missions to third world countries to perform life saving surgeries. Perhaps closer to home someone in your community needs those items, maybe a penny-saver ad or donate to a church group or nursing home? Or what about a different hospital or hospice. Good luck and God bless u

As previous answerers have said, it would cost more to ship these things to Africa than to buy them over there.
Your local women's refuge or refugee support group will make really good use of these items.

I could give you a hundred names of people who need those things, including myself. The welfare office should be able to help you with someone who could use your stuff.

I don't know if you'll get them direct to africa or not but if you sign up to your local freecycle website someone locally who needs them will come and pick them up from you.

You think we are all beggars in Africa? Waiting for your charity? Why dont you think about this: Charity Begins at Home!. So unless you cant find any deserving people in Englandia or Britania, Europe, China, Madagaskar, Hono lulu, Bangladesh and such places, dont even start to think about Africa.
