I answered a similar question like yours a short while ago. As people have said, Yorkies are difficult to come by via 'adoption'. The rescue centres like the Mayhew Home in Kensal Rise, NW London are unlikely to have what you are looking for.

To echo my own previous advice, pick up a copy of LOOT. You can browse through it in Sainsburys for free! Have a look if there are any Yorkie pups available in your area. If you do find something, please check out the home your puppy is coming from and insist on seeing 'mum' and 'dad'. Having said that, Yorkie pups can cost a small fortune. Steer well clear of pet shops! Best option of all is, do what I did. When one of my previous Yorkies died, I placed a free ad in Loot. I worded it that I was offering a loving home to a Yorkie as a companion to a 'bereaved' Yorkie and Siamese cat. Within 24hrs, my beautiful TEDDY walked into my life! I was so lucky and I hope you will be lucky too. Have a look at my 360 page and blog (if you can find 360 now!) and see my gorgeous 'boys'!

Happy hunting! ... And I'm also in the NW London area!!!

Ring all the dog shelters-you may get lucky and find a yorkie or a yorkie cross needing a home.

Don't be narrow minded though. If you go and have a look round a shelter you may well fall in love with a mutt.

You can try your local rescue center or classified ads in papers etc.Chiuahuah puppys from good breeders cost anything from £900-1,500 pounds!! Yorkies are considrebly less but still a good breeder will charge £350-450.Make sure you do your homework before buying a certain breed.Good luck.

Try that website, it has dogs for sale, that's where i found mine.
I just bought a Yorkie but I travelled 5 hours to Southampton to get him so don't be too bothered about where you buy it from. It's more important (this is if u buy one btw) that you get one from a good breeder. Also, it is possible to get crossbreeds between yorkies and Chihuahuas so consider doing that, crossbreeds do tend to be cheaper but there are disadvantages so make sure u research it well.

You are going to have a hard time finding a yorkie to "save"... usually dogs that need to be saved are muts of some kind that no one wants. Yorkies are on the top of everyones list.

I don't know of anyone selling Yorkie's in London, but a good website for finding puppies is:

EPUPZ UK
http://www.epupz.co.uk/

If there are none on the website when you look at it, then you can sign up free and get email alerts sent to you when some puppies are advertised on the website.

Good Luck!!

i thought u meant the chocolate too lol i was going to put they're not for girls - which is a silly thing to advertise as thats just cut out 50% of its consumers! but as for dogs best bet would be to try at rspca or other dog homes for low priced ones
