Name your dog what ever you want,I think Scottie is a good name. animals are breds not nationalities. No matter his/her name the pup will always win when you care or it and loose when it isn't. This is the brawl an animal would conflict with its self if it could reason but cann't with out the logic of humanity.

Dont see why it should be offensive, I live near a black guy who has a pure white staff dog and its name is English, but then again we call dogs Blackie, same difference I suppose. You call it what you want, me duck.

there is not any longer something incorrect with it i assume... this is kinda like Pokemon... the call is the species. yet this could lead on directly to hundreds of canines named Yorkies, and PetsMart and PetsCo and dogs parks everywhere may well be all kinds of jacked up.

It won't care, will it, as it is not blessed with the gift of language.
If it amuses you, you can call it what you like.

I'm sure he won't mind, there sure are worse things you could name him... anyway, we're all so multi-cultural these days :)
