A mixture of confusing figures quoted so far.
The supply from the power station is high voltage 3 phase.
The supply from a local sub station is still 3 phase at 415 V between phases.
The supply to an individual house is single phase at 230 V +/- 10 (usually 240)
Houses will be supplied in groups from the same phase.
The phase colours are now brown, grey and black with blue as the neutral.
Larger installations, eg factories, are supplied with 3 phase.

220v 50hz single phase, unless a previous occupier had something juicier installed, but it would be unusual in a house, the meter would tell you if 3 phase is in the building. Even if it is the sockets etc are all one only 1 phase, only machines wired and specific 3 phase (big with 5 pins) sockets have the full 440v

All domestic supply is 240v single phase. You can arrange for three phase should you require it for say heavy machinery etc.

domestic 240 volt is single phase. Industrial or local distribution is 415 volt three phase. Beyond that it is sent 3 phase at 11kv, 32kw etc

Its single phase - there are only two power conductors. For three phase, you need to have 3 power conductors.
