In order for to remove stiches (from the eye) do you have to go thru anesthesia? **THANKS FOR ANSWERING**

in the eye you might get a opthhalmic numbing medication (like lnovocaine for the eye.) but most eye stiches are disolveable

Yes. You will probably get local anesthesia which means they use an anesthetic on the area they need numbed, nowhere else. You are probably confusing anesthesia as only general anesthesia where they put you asleep. Anesthesia is anything that works to lessen pain in whatever way possible.

if you have had a g.a. to put the stitches in the eye, they will probally be the disolving type, if they are not, they will prob just numb the eye. if they are outside the eye, they wont give u anything, but it doesnt hurt at all to remove stitches
