For those of you who say it is the Holy Spirit who will come after Jesus: I asked this Question in another question and no one answered me so I will ask it again.

Luke 1:15 For he shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mothers womb.

Luke 1:41 And it came to pass, that, when Elizabeth heard the salutationof Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost.

Luke 1:67 And his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Ghost...

Luke 2:25-26 And behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon; and the same man was just a devout, waitinf for the consolation of Isreal: and the Holy Ghost was upon him.
And it was revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost, that he should not see death, before he had seen Jesus Christ.

All of these scriptures were written many years before Jesus said this:

John 15:26-27 "When the Counselor comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father, he will testify about me. And you also must testify, for you have been with me from the beginning

Why would God have sent someone who obviously was already here?

there are also many instances in the old testament that tell of the Holy Spirit descending upon someone.,
Samson displayed super human strength only after the holy spirit descended upon him. even though he was naturally strong.
but when Jesus ascended into Heaven hes sent the Holy Spirit to stay with us and to teach us.

Of course you could have also cited Luke 3 and 4, John 20, and Acts 2. The Holy Spirit, being divine has always existed and been active. He did not come into being after Christ's resurrection and ascension. Believers, however, receive a new experiential relationship with the Holy Spirit because of the cross. The language Jesus uses, saying the Spirit is sent is what we call phenomenological language. Just as we say the sun rises when we know it is stationary, because that is how we experience the phenomenon. The Bible frequently uses phenomenological language because that is sometimes the most effective way to communicate to finite men and women who think in phenomenological terms.

What you are doing is taking "words" literally from men who themselves were "confused." These men called "apostles" were not "scholars" who knew Jesus above all else and that is where many make the mistake of being confused by their writings. I "have" bothered to study these men's "psyche." Luke was a disciple, John was an apostle, and not even a good one at that, though he was proficient as a writer. To excuse your "references," the Father in heaven "decided" somewhere along the line that mankind needed "help." When Jesus said that he would "send" a Comforter, the holy spirit(s) were NOT aiding the faithful and had NOT been here before. It is the GIFT the Father in heaven SENT after he saw our confusion over the kingdom of heaven. Some may call them Guardian angels, others the holy spirit, yet others a comforter but to the faithful of the Father in heaven it means we not longer live our lives without the AIDE of the holy..... Hope that answers your "question."

Up until the day of Pentecost, the Holy Spirit moved about. In the Old Testament The Holy Spirit would come upon men for special reasons, to empower them, but It didn't linger in them forever. After Pentecost, The Holy Spirit came and inhabited any and all of the saints who believed in Jesus as Savior. He still does this when anyone comes to Christ. He doesn't leave them once He enters. That's the Comforter that Jesus promised would come and lead us in all things. The Holy Spirit did not come to abide inside the Christians until after Jesus left earth, just as He said. Because He is Spirit, He can be everywhere at the same time, thus He makes intercession for us before the throne of God and yet does not leave us either.

You need to keep working on the scripture until all the seeming variations are in agreement. Jesus said the scriptures speak of him. That is not to say just a few versus but the entire Bible, even prior to the New Testament.

None of these scriptures will ever agree as long as you have a three person God. Lord is Father, Jesus is Son, Christ is the Holy Ghost, these three offices are one. God is not three in one but is One who does things in threes.

The Holy Spirit is Jesus Christ and went by the name Jesus when He appeared to Paul. He appeared to Paul as the pilar of fire seen by the children of Israel in the wilderness.

The Jesus born in a manger was the fleshly temple of Jehovah God; the same I Am that spoke to Moses from the burning bush. Jesus told the Jews I Am that I Am, meaning that He was the I Am that called Moses, delt with Pharoah and gave the law from the Mount.

In addition to understanding that there is only one person you must see that God is in the process of revealing himself down through time. He has always been here; for in Him all live and move and have their being.

A diamond is cut with facets and that is why it catches light and sparkles. The facets and sparkle are from only one diamond. God has many facets and who can contain and understand Him.

Do not count facets as persons, be it two or three or many.. God was perfect to begin with and has no need of creating more facets. What we see and what we read is the revealing of these facets over time; to the beginning of a new creation in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Now you understand why those believers are all so f**k**g totally confused. The entire bible is nothing but a bunch of lies. There is no such thing as a holy spirit, just another myth invented by the writers of the BS in the bible. The NT is really all about the Jewish War with the Romans. The Son of Man was Titus son of Emperor Vespasian. Vespasian was a god or declared a god as various other emperors were, and Titus became emperor and was also made a god. Hence the Son of God or the Son of Man. The bible is the worst book ever written and has caused more harm in this world than any other written material known the man.

As others have said, The Holy Spirit empowered people in the old testament, but did not live in them. Christs death on the cross made us believers fit to receive the Holy Spirit and He will always reside within us. That is the new testament teaching that leads us to a holy life apart from the law(which didn't lead anyone to a holy life)

The Holy Spirit is the third Person of the Blessed Trinity -- who always was and always will be. Just like your spirit has always been with you.

However, until that first Pentecost, the Holy Spirit was not manifested in the way He is now. He was present then....but in "seed" form. We have finished with the Age of Jesus...we are now in the Age of the Holy Spirit. It is He who guides us....yet does nothing at all without the Father and the Son.

Many church homes coach that he's 3 in a unmarried to get faraway from the theory that the trinity might want to bypass hostile to the first commandment that states God Is One. Jesus isn't the daddy. The holy spirit is the spirit of the daddy. Jesus submitted completly to the favor of God for that reason grew to develop into one with the spirit of God(the holy spirit) He grew to develop into one with God yet develop into under no circumstances the author Father God. those who put up to God and the Holy spirit can develop into one with Jesus. Is it not written that Christ is discovered from interior of? the dominion of God is interior of you,and the body is the temple of the residing God? to stroll with Jesus and to be a channel for divine love is to be born back of the spirit. it really is being touched through the holy spirit and has not something to do with rituals and dogma. it really is a non secular baptism really than a actual baptism.

The Holy Spirit gave birth to Jesus, born of a woman. God always was with mankind, but in the old testament, men disrespected God, and treated God as a mere animal.
Arrogant eh? Not much fore-sight there.
